Amethyst is the stone of clarity and relationship. Amethyst, In ancient Greek, means "sober". It is said that Bacchus, the god of wine, once played a prank on a young maiden named Amherst after drinking. He pushed her towards a beast. The goddess Diana, in order to save Amherst, transformed the maiden into a white stone sculpture. Bacchus suddenly came to his senses and was fascinated by this pure stone sculpture. Overcame by grief, he accidentally spilled wine on the stone sculpture, slowly turning it into beautiful amethyst.
